Our HBCU Alumni Cruise is an enjoyable 5 or 7 night cruise that usually sails through the Caribbean waters with multiple port stops at various tropical and interesting places. Previously, we have had the pleasure of visiting places like Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Bahamas, Mexico, Grand Cayman, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Jamaica.
In the past we have chosen a Fall trip to lessen the costs of going on this lavish vacation as opposed to setting sail during peak months a la the Summer and around the Holidays. This allows for a much more affordable vacation and a chance to skip out on some incoming cold weather for those a little bit up north ... just for a little while.
There are plenty of things to do while on the ship, but we also add our own list of activities specifically for cruisers of our group. Our activities consist usually of an open bar meet and greet session, a themed social party, group excursions, spades and bid whist tournaments, pool/spa side discussions, singles and couples games, and our HBCU Beach Games - which is usually a joy to participate in and watch every year.
On top of all the fun you will have, you would also be helping HBCU students in need. Each person will have made a donation to the HBCU Foundation - a donation which is already included in the cost of the cruise so you do not have to do anything further.
