Good question. A lot of times it depends on your needs, but as a general guide, here is a list that you can use to help you pack properly. Be sure to bring things that you know will need and do not bring more than you need. Lugging around unnecessary items in airports and then having them lounging around, cluttering up your cabin room, is no fun. Again, this is by no means a de facto list of things to bring. This is only a guide to help you determine what you may or may not need.
NOTE: Some items you may not be allowed to take aboard an airplane and may need to be purchased once you get to the cruise departure city, after you have landed (liquids, razors, etc).
