Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech</p><p></p><p>We are searching for the best talent for a <b>R&amp;D Specialist 3 </b>to support our Electrophysiology business.  <i>This role will work onsite in our <b>Irvine, CA office</b></i><b>.</b></p><p></p><p><b>Job Summary:</b></p><p>This position supports project teams in the development of electrophysiology catheters and/or related accessories at Biosense Webster. Project coordinator works directly with team to coordinate activities related to new product development and lifecycle.</p><p>This can include but not limited to sourcing engineering material for new product development, management of the supply chain for new product material, control of inventory, and design control for new product development build activities from onset to submission. Coordinates essential R&amp;D tasks that include contracts with HCPs, trainings of team associates, travel for HCC professionals and other R&amp;D visitors, budget tracking and accruals performance needs.</p><p><b>Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p></li><li>Function as Project Coordinator for the Device History File of a project team.</li><li>Locate sources for engineering materials and services, obtain quotes and place orders for material and services.</li><li>Maintain design control for new product development build activities.</li><li>Takes an active role in project team/technical projects and initiatives that focus on cost improvement, business continuity, process excellence to enable product development activities.</li><li>Support communication activities regarding R&amp;D initiatives.</li><li><p></p><p><b>Experience/Education:</b></p></li><li>Knowledge and skills to satisfactorily develop the responsibilities of the position.</li><li>4 to 6 years of experience, preferably related to the position.</li><li>University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent.</li><li><p><b>Requirements:</b></p></li><li>In depth understanding of specialized area to support new product development and lifecycle manage<ul><li>product structure (Bills of Material, routings, etc.).</li><li>In depth understanding of new product development cost drivers.</li><li>R&amp;D finance and/or contracting process</li></ul></li><li>Ability to work with various engineers &amp; vendors, detailed oriental to track progress</li><li>Ability to participate in a technical team with specialist focus area.</li><li>Must possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)</li><li>Exceptional aptitude in multitasking</li><li>Ability to utilize office computer programs proficiently.</li><li>Must be detail oriented and highly organized.</li><li>Communicate with other functions within the organization daily to acquire alignment and approvals.</li><li>Manages inventory for clinical investigational materials.</li><li>Maintains traceability for clinical builds and approval for distribution.</li><li>Assist in the development of test reports, generating ECOs and other engineering documentation.</li><li>Responsible for timely presenting of business related issues or opportunities to next management level.</li><li>Windchill PLM system experience is required.</li><li>AutoCAD experience preferred.</li><li>Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures.</li><li>Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.</li><li>For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.</li><li>Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Performs other duties assigned as needed</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>Johnson &amp; Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
