The Lead Medical Assistant for Primary Care Enhanced Onboarding plays a pivotal role in shaping the first impression and longterm success of our new caregivers. This role blends clinical expertise, coaching, and operational leadership to deliver a consistent, highquality onboarding experience that accelerates confidence, competence, and connection to our culture. Serving as a subjectmatter expert and frontline mentor, the Lead MA partners closely with clinic leaders and educators to reinforce best practices and bridge training from the classroom to realworld clinic operations. Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Coursework/Training Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Coursework/Training Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 3 years medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.
- 3 years experience in providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
- 6 months working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years, OR 18 months experience in a Lead MA role in a clinical setting in lieu of
Preferred Qualifications:
- Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
- Primary Care medical assisting experience, with demonstrated proficiency in highvolume ambulatory clinic workflows
- Prior experience serving in a Lead MA, Senior MA, Preceptor, Trainer, or informal leadership role, supporting onboarding, mentoring, or skills development of peers
- Experience designing, delivering, or supporting structured onboarding and training programs, ideally at scale or across multiple clinics
- Strong coaching and facilitation skills, with the ability to teach adult learners and translate clinical standards into practical, realworld application
- Advanced knowledge of Primary Care workflows, including Epic (AMB), inbasket management, clinical skills validation, and scopeofpractice standards
- Demonstrated ability to partner with clinic leaders, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to standardize workflows and reinforce best practices
- Comfort working in ambiguity and fastpaced environments, balancing training responsibilities with frontline clinical support as needed
- Strong communication and changemanagement skills, with the confidence to model expectations, provide feedback, and influence practice adoption
- Experience supporting quality, safety, or processimprovement initiatives within an ambulatory care setting

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
