Position Summary The Vice President, Global Operations & Supply Chain leads end-to-end manufacturing, supply chain, and materials management across BECLS global networkcurrently San Jose, CA; Loveland, CO; Indianapolis, IN; Marseilles, France; Aachen, Germany; Bangalore, India; Suzhou, Chinaand oversees key contract manufacturing partnerships The role sets global operations strategy, drives world-class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Working Capital (SQDC+W), and ensures scalable commercial and NPI/NPD execution. Success requires deep Lean/DBS leadership, cross-functional orchestration, and an inclusive, people-first culture that accelerates innovation and growth. This is a highly visible role in a market-leading, core growth business of Danaher. It represents an opportunity to gain exposure to the world-class Danaher Business System. The Vice President, Global Operations and Supply Chain is a key operating member of BECLS global Senior Leadership Team (SLT). As such, he or she will participate in all the SLTs management meetings, including monthly staff meetings, policy deployment meetings and new product development meetings. This position will play a central role in contributing to the business strategy. Responsibilities The Vice President, Global Operations and Supply Chain will manage a team of ~ 700 people. The role reports to the President of the business and will require ~ 30-50+% travel (global facilities & partners) with significant time in our manufacturing facilities. This leader will cultivate and sustain a culture of outstanding operational performance across all operations functions, and support the President and the SLT in this endeavor across the enterprise. Responsibilities of the role include: Global Operations Strategy & Transformation: - Set and execute the global manufacturing and supply chain strategy, aligning site networks, capacity, and footprint for growth, resilience, and cost competitiveness.
- Harmonize processes and governance across sites to ensure consistent performance and scalability.
- Lead digital manufacturing / Industry 4.0 initiatives (automation, advanced analytics, connected equipment, traceability) to improve productivity, quality, and decision speed.
Operational Excellence: - Drive Cost productivity through Lean conversion, value stream optimization, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Optimize Working Capital while protecting service and risk posture.
- Improve Delivery reliability via constraint management, SIOP, and network synchronization.
- Own global EH&S system maturity and leading indicators to continuously reduce injuries and risks.
NPI Technology Transfer & Scale Up: - Ensure manufacturing readiness for new products and seamless global transfers across sites / contract manufacturers.
- Integrate operations early in product lifecycle to hit launch SQDC targets and accelerate time-to-value.
Supply Chain & External Manufacturing: - Partner with Supply Chain & QRA to build a resilient supplier ecosystem, improve OTD/quality, and mitigate geopolitical, logistics, and single-source risk.
- Govern contract manufacturers (SLAs, quality systems, cost, capacity) and ensure IP, compliance, and responsiveness.
Enterprise Integration & Program Leadership: - Act as an enterprise integrator across Operations & Supply Chain, R&D, Quality/Regulatory, Product Management, Commercial, Marketing, Service, Strategy, DBS, HR, Finance, and Legalaligning priorities, resources, and roadmaps.
- Run cross-functional operating cadences (strategy deployment/hoshin, tiered daily management, program reviews) with clear metrics, risk registers, and countermeasures.
Talent, Culture & Leadership: - Build a strong global leadership bench: hire, coach, and develop site and functional leaders; establish succession for critical roles.
- Foster an inclusive, psychologically safe environment with high trust, transparency, and accountability; recognize and scale winning behaviors.
- Model DBS/Lean leadership: teach problem solving (PDCA), Gemba coaching, visual management, and kaizen to embed continuous improvement as a daily habit.
Key Relationships - Reports to: President, Beckman Coulter Life Sciences
- The role sits on the L1 Executive team and hence strong working relationships with VP DBS, VP HR, VP Service, VP R&D, VP Product Management, VP Quality & Regulatory, SVP Commercial, VP Marketing, VP Strategy, CFO and Chief Counsel are also critical to the success of the role.

Ideal Experience & Qualifications: - 15+ years leading multi-site, global operations in a Lean environment of a top industrial company with measurable outcomes in quality, delivery, cost, and inventory turns.
- Demonstrated success in operational transformations, footprint optimization, and scaling new products/technologies.
- Proven hands-on Lean /DBS conversion experience. M&A integration experience will be a plus.
- Strong grasp of digital manufacturing/automation, advanced analytics, and performance management systems.
- Experience leading manufacturing and supporting new product development of integrated technology products (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software-driven devices with imbedded fluidics).
- Bachelors in Engineering, Operations, or Business required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
